AMMUNITION FOR GUNMEN.
ARRESTS AT BIRKENHEAD. A. and N.Z. . LONDON. Feb. 23. Two men were charged at Birkenhead with being in possession of ammunitionThe men were seen leaving a tramcar. As it was known that a boat was-leaving for Ireland they were followed to it. Detectives searched them and found 1700 rounds of pistol ammunition in their belts. ■• ' __
