TROTTING.

CANTERBURY NOTES. fSY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] CHRISTCHUECH. Saturday. ' The champion pacer, Happy Voyage, is looking well, and is doing all that is asked of him in his training work. If it is decided to send Happy Voyage back to Australia, it is to be hoped that Mr. Tonkinson will allow the horse to have a try for a record before ho leaves here. F. Holmes had his stallion Key De Oro at Addington on Friday. Naturally the American horse, who did a season at the stud as soon as -He got here, is not yet in racing form, but he is a splendid-actioned pacer, who may, if he trains on right, win in good company. The pacer Acron is looking i very well. J. Kennerley is not giving the brilliant three-year-old much fast work, but Acron is becoming much more docile.on the track, and it is to be hoped 'he will begin well in his next effort. Lady Mauritims. a recent arrival from Melbourne, is a regular attendant at Addington. She is an inmate of W. G. Tonkineon's stable. Another recent arrival from. Melbourne is the trotter Dixio Mac.
