DOMINION'S BIRD LIFE.
The dearth of bird life in New Zealand was- remarked upon by Mr. Collins, one of the New South Wales bowlers, a"o th« civic reception, in Dunedin. Mr. Collins said that the forest country in the 'Dominion was practicaUy bare of any tiign of bird life. Tho same thing Lad been noticed in Australia, but he was glad to say that steps were now being taken to remedy it. "
