ST. GEORGE'S CLUB.

. PRINCE MEMORIAL FOURS. The members of the St. George's Rowing Club held a set of trial fours, known as the Prince Memorial Fours, on Saturday afternoon. There was a large attendance of friends and supporters of the club, and despite the unfavourable weather conditions some good rowing was witnessed Nino crews competed. ;> In the first heat the crews were: Hammond. Dunne, Pilcher, Yates; W. Lamb, McLaughlin, T. Morton, Witherow; R. Surman, Kennedy, Welch, LevAen. Hammond's four quickly took the lead, and a. little later a foul between Surman and ' Lamb enabled Hammond's crew to tow in easy winners. In the second heat the crews were: Page, Henley, Fraser, Witherow; Aimer, Hughes, Ross,-Wyllie; Linton, Porter, Good, Nicholson. The crews got away to a splendid start; and with half the course covered Linton held a slight lead. Pago then challenged strongly, and in a hard-fought finish crossed' the line with a canvas to spare. The third heat crews were: A. C. Lamb, Scott, Rankin , Ross; Emery, Walker, Good, von Stunner; Wright, Hume, Butchart,, Bone. This race was robbed of a lot of interest through Lamb's crew breaking two, oars. A good race ensued between Wright and Emery's crews, the last-named four gaining the. verdict by a good length. MASON PAIRS Owing to the adverse weather conditions it was i found necessary to postpone the inter-club race for the Mason pairs. ■ AUCKLAND ROWING CLUB. The Auckland Rowing Club, while unable to row the trial fours for the president's trophies owing to the , adverse water condition, carried on' with the social side of the function. A splendid orchestra supplied a well-selected musical programme, and dancing was also indulged in. WAITEMATA BOATING CLUB. The members of the Waitemata Boating Club were compelled through the heavy weather conditions to postpone the trial fours for Mr. A. M. Myers' trophies. WELLINGTON REGATTA. Results :— Light-weight Maiden Fours, 1 mile.— Petone No. 1. 1; Wellington, 2; Union (Christchurch). 3. Won comfortably by a length: Youths' Double Sculls. 1 —Avon, 1; Wellington. 2; Aramoho. 3. * Won by a length, a canvas between second and third Junior . Single Sculls.—Traill (Union, Wanganui), 1: Grenfell (Union, Christchurch), 2; Davis (Star, Wellington). 3. Won very easily. Maiden —Union (Wanganui), 1; Petone, 2; Union (Christchurch), 3. Won by half-a-length after a great finish. Maiden Double Sculls, 1 mile,— (Wanganui). 1; Star (Wellington). 2; Union (Christchurch). 3."
