TRADES UNION FUNDS.
USE FOR POLITICAL ACTION
PROHIBITORY MOVEMENT.
A. and N.Z. LONDON, Feb. 22. Major Archer Shee's Bill amending the Trades Union Act of ■, 1913 has been introduced in the House of Commons. It prohibits the use of trades union funds for the purpose of political action unless the latter be decided upon after ballot. Dissenting members are not to be forced to contribute to political funds, which must be kept from the ordinary funds. The Bill brings all trades unions, registered and unregistered, under on© law.
