BAY OF PLENTY LEAGUE. [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] * ... OPOTIKI. Thursday. The annual meeting of the Bay of j Plenty Development League was held at Opotiki yesterday, when delegates from the Taur-anga Borough Council, Chamber of Commerce, and Harbour Board, Whakatane Borough Council and Chamber of Commerce, and Opotiki v Borough and County. Councils V and Chamber of Commerce attended. The president of the league, Mr. B. C. Robbins, of Tauranga, in opening the proceedings, stated, that the league was out for the development of the whole. of the Bay of Plenty, and as, they had not been receiving ■ sufficient encouragement from Opotiki, they had decided to hold their annual meeting there, in order to let the Opotiki people know what they were doing.
