TEAM TO LEAVE TO-DAY.

PTESENTATION OF BATS. PRIVATE VISITS TO DOMINION. The members of the M.C.C. team will leave for Sydney by the! Ulimaroa this morning. At the conclusion of the Australian tour the majority will return home, hut several will travel to other parts. Colonel J. C. Hartley, vic<2-cap-tain, and Messrs. D. F. Brand and C. H. Gibson , propose returning to New Zealand by the Ulimaroa. Gibson will be lost to English cricket during , the coming season owing to his settling in the Argentine for a time. Colonel Hartley and Mr. Brand, being fishing enthusiasts, propose spending several weeks at various angling resorts in the Dominion: Mr. L. C. Wilkinson, who sailed last week for Sydney, will pass through Auckland en route to the West Indies. Mr. A. C. MacLaren, captain, and Mr. H. D. Swan, manager, propose returning to New Zealand' after the English cricket season to- spend several weeks at Rotorua for health reasons* Colonel Hartley has presented C. Aleott with i a bat in recognition of his excellent bowling performance in the Englishmen's first innings of the last match against Auckland..
