20,000 VISITORS EXPECTED.
AUCKLAND SUMMER CARNIVAL., The influx of some. 20.000 visitors to the Auckland Summer Carnival in March will not only make it a great gala event of the Dominion, but will react directly to the benefit of the trading community. The promoters of the last " Mardi Gras in Napier, estimate that - the sum of approximately £10,000 was expended in the Hawke's Bay by visitors, and every year since its inception financial support ,by the business folk of the Napier district has been most generous. With wellordered publicity going out through press, mail, and by poster all over the Dominion, the estimate of 20,000 visitors is ft very conservative one, and probably traffic arrangementsfor a greater numbei will be made. Auckland is at last looking to the laurels as a'. gala city, and, with the support of practica'ly every pubjv, lie body in the Queen City already ser - cured, the success •of the carnival is a : foregone conclusion.
