'j, The Vorwaerta has published an appeal ■! by German trades unions to the United States Congress. It declares, on behalf of : 12,000,000 members of "the union, that they are firmly convinced ') that the United States did not enter the war for the purpose of annihilating the German people, and that they look to the United States' cense of honour to save Europe and the ! ■world from disaster. \
