EXPELLED FROM MEXICO.
PAPAL DELEGATE TO LEAVE.. DISREGARD OF FEDERAL LAW Australian and N.Z. .Cable Assertion. (Reed. 6.51 p.m.) . MEXICO CITY, ,Jan 14. Tho President, General Obregon, has ordered the expulsion of the Papal delegate, MgrJFilippi, within three days. Ho declared that the Federal authorities in future would take the necessary steps to prevent violations of, the law by the Roman Catholic Church, and would not depend on the enforcement of these laws by the State authorities. This is considered to be the .first movement against alleged Roman Catholic aggressiveness. Tho order of fexpulsion has caused a storm of criticism throughout the country, which is universally Roman Catholic. By .unveiling a statue of Christ in the open air before thousands of Mexicans, Mgr Filippi violated the Mexican Federal law of 1857, which forbids any open air celebration of religious ceremonies.
