HUNTING SUBMARINES.
STORY OF LATE LORD FISHER. A story of the late Lord Fisher was told at a sitting of the Royal Commission on Awards to Inventors, when consideration was given to a) claim by Mr. C. Teasdale Buckell,,in respect of three inventions of light filters for increasing the keenness of vision in the search for submarines. ; Mr. Trevor Watson, in supporting the claim, mentioned in respect of the first invention, which was brought out early in 1915, that the claimant, who was then a lieutenant-commander in the Navy, on going into Lord Fisher's room, saw on the table a copy of his official report with the words: scrawled across it in chalk by Lord Fisher, "Get this done before the end of the war." ,
