TWO MEN CAUGHT UNAWARES. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PALMERSTON NORTH. Thursday.. While blasting at the top camp at the hydro-electric works at Mangahao last evening, '. two men, .A. Sturgeon and D. Gray, placed three charges of gelignite in a tunnel. Two shots were heard to go off, and the men later went hack. just as they arrived at. the face the third charge exploded, injuring Sturgeon in one eye and about the face and neck, and Gray in the face. Both men were sent to the Palmerston Hospital, and are progressing favourably.
