ThuradSy. : The Bay of Plenty Development "League has communicated with Sir William llerries requesting that TauraYiga and, its beauty spots be included in the moving pictures now being taken by the Government photographer for screening at the Empire Exhibition in 1924. Notice has: been . gazetted authorising the Minister for Public Works to construct the Hairini Bridge, and apportion: ing the cost, one-third to be borne by the Tauranga County Council and onesixth by the Borough Council. The work of" construction is well under way, and the bridge, which is of ferro-con-cretei) is the largest structure of its kind in Tauranga County. The Government is subsidising the work.
