AUSTRALIAN SUGAR CROP
A SURPLUS PREDICTED. • HEAVY QUEENSLAND YIELD. 1 A. and N.Z. BRISBANE. Jan. 10. ' The output of sugar in Queensland for i the season that has just closed is estimated at 288,000 tons of raw suga.r. This is the second heaviest yield on record for tho State. The total Australian yield is estimated at 305,000 tons, which will be in excess of the amount consumed annually in the Commonwealth.
