FEAR-RIDDEN TOWN. REVELATIONS AT INQUIRY. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association! (Reed- 9.5 p.m.) NEW YORK, Jan. 9. At the inquiry proceeding at Bastrop, Louisiana, into murders alleged to have been committed by the Ku Klux Klan, a Stale witness gave intimate details of the Klan's activities in Bastrop parish where the murders occurred. He showed that an intricate invisible government existed, neighbour watching neighbour for moral violations. The Ku Klux Kian carried out extensive punishments, kidnapping some, including women, and sending them into other States, flogging others, and killing their. victims in some cases. The organisation kept the citizens in constant terror.
