The vote for State, purchase, 5.77 per cent, is lower than in 1919, when' 5.93 per cent, of the votes were recorded for that issue. The prohibition vote, 48.58 per cent., compares with 49.70 per cent, in December, 1919, 49 per cent.'in April, 1919, 48.99 per centin 1914, and 55.83 per cent, in 1911. The complete return demonstrates the accuracy of the provisional compilation on the night of the poll. It comprises 46,300 more votes than were included in the tabulation published in ; the Hfjsalb on December 8. Yet the latter indicated the actual position to Within a very small margin.
