OUTBREAKS OF FIRE.

WHAREPOA BUTTER FACTORY, STOCKS OF CHEESE BURNED. INSURANCES TOTAL £5000. [BY telegraph.— CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Wednesday. A serious fire occurred at Wharepoa at about 8 p.m. yesterday which resulted in the destruction of the butter factory, together with stocks of cheese. The origin of the fire is not known, but it is supposed that the fire originated in a stack containing 60 tons of coal. Tho building was completely destroyed. The premises were insured for £4000 and the stock for £1000, but these amounts will not cover the loss. The factory was the ' property of the New Zealand . Cooperative Dairy Company.
