CREATION OR EVOLUTION. "Creation or Evolution ■•". was the subject upon which Dr. French E:. Oliver, the American evangelist, addressed a large audience in the Town Hall last evening. Speaking in an interesting manner, and in simple yet forceful language, Dr. Oliver cited authorities from the Bible and the world of science to show that the. theory of evolution was utterly untenable. If we were so closely related to the gorilla and orang-outang, as evolutionists ■ maintained, why did not surgeons make use of their blood in certain cases for human beings? Because they knew they could not mix men's blood with that of animals. There was a difference in the' blood and that'was the fundamental | reason why there was a difference in the f flesh of every creature of God's handi- 1 work. The normal temperature of the blood of a human being was about 98 ! degrees and that of a turkey- about 10? j degrees- The turkey, he remarked, amid ! laughter, was even a hotter creature than t some of the painted-faced girls of this I modern world."
