LAWN TENNIS
THE N.S.W. LADIES' TEAM.
The New South Wales lLadies' tennis team which left Auckland for Hamilton yesterday, is to play several games there to-day. The itinerary of the team provides tor them to leave Hamilton on Monday next, and to visit Botorua. Taupo. Napier and Hastings. After the New Zealand chamSionships and the Hawke's Bay tournament ave been played the team will risit Christchurch and will take part in an invitation tournament there on January 6 and 6. Later the New Zealand ladies' representative team will be met in matches to be played at Wellington on January 12 and 13. The visiting team then returns to Auckland and hero they will play the Auckland provincial team on January 19 and 20. theße matches being the last of the official tour. The Management Committee sf the New Zealand Lawn Tennis Association considers that teat matches should take precedence over provincial games and with the two tournaments arranged the visitors will be able to work into their best form for the match against New Zealand.

The courts have received attention since last season, and ar» greatly Some of the younger members are showing good form. and. with practice, should prove worthy opponents of the older players.
