SACRED HEART SPORTS.

CLOSE CONTESTS. Th» Sacred Heart College annual athletic •porta were held at the- college arounds, fonsonby, on Saturday afternoon. Therewas a large attendance .of relatives and friends, and among those present were Dr, J. M. Liston, Roman iCaHholic Co-adiutor Bishop of Auckland; and many priests. Many close and interesting contests were witnessed during the afternoon. The eporta were ably controlled by the college etag and friends. The heats and semi-finals, of a number of events had been decided during the week. The echool shield was won by Vangioni, who scored 5£ points, Flynn being stcond with 32.
