ROADING PLANT AUTHORISED SEWERAGE PROPOSAL LOST. Two loan proposals involving a total sum of £32,000 "were submitted to the' ratepayers of Avondale/ Biorough at a poll held on Saturday. The proposal to borrow £26,000 for the laying of a main sewer was defeated by 207 votes to 173, while the proposal to borrow £6030 for road-making plant, etc, Was authorised by 319 votes to 207. Only about onethird of the ratepayers cast their votes,
