[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN COBBKSPOKBENT.] TAURANGA, Saturday. At a meeting of-the Northern SubProvincial Farmers' Union, it was decided thai the Department of Agriculture be asked to station a fields instructor in the Bay of Plenty. It was agreed to- strongly support the proposals of tho New Zealand Immigration and Land Settlement League, especially as far as they affected settlements in the Hay of Plenty district. It was resolved to support the provincial executive's proposals in regard to the insurance of all export meat. The Tauranga Acclimatisation Society is securing another consignment of 50,000 trout fry, for liberation in streams in Maketu riding. Mr. A. Bellingham, who lias been appointed clerk to the Tauranga County Council, has arrived.
