THE SALVATION ARMY.
WELCOME TO COMMISSIONER. A public welcome to Commissioner and Mrs. Hoggard, the newly-appointed leaders of the Salvation Army in New Zealand, will be held on Sunday, October 22, at 2.45 p.m., in the Town Hall. Speeches of welcome will be made by representatives of the various churches, and an attractive concert programme has been arranged. Commissioner and Mrs. Hoggard will address a Salvation meeting in the Town Hall at 7 p.m. on the same day. A Salvation Army rally will be held next Saturday evening, in the Baptist Tabernacle. Addresses .will be given by Mr. George Phillips, Brigadier B. Stone, and Captain H. C. Coffin. Concert nteraa will be given by the Silver Band, children of the Grange Orphanage, and two choirs.
