TODAY'S EDITION. INTERESTING PICTORIAL PAGES. A wide range of interesting illustrations is published in to-day's issue of the Auckland Week.lt News. Pictures illustrating a recent (official inspection of Wellington's harbour lights ! make another very interesting page, while the scenery of the beautiful Lake Districts of Otago is well portrayed in a series of views taken on the track from Manapouri to Deep Cove. Interesting pictures, too, are those in connection with | the Public Works' drainage Scheme at Kaitaia, North Auckland, where approximately 25,000 acres of swamp land is gradually being developed into valuable farming areas. The new electric tbtalisator at the EJlerslie racecourse is illustrated and explained, and a photograph of Randwick, Sydney, New South Wales, during a recent contest between Beauford and Gloaming conveys a good impression of- the great public interest in the meeting of the two champion horses.
