PRESENTATION.
A presentation to Mr. J. T. Hadfield, Of the locomotive branch of the railway service, who has retired v on superannuation, was made at a social gathering at the Railway Officers' Institute. Mr. j. F. Mackley, on behalf of the locomotive branch, presented Mr. Hadfield with a Morris chair and a case of pipes, and with a set of silver entree dishes for Mrs. Hadfield. In making the presentation, Mr. Mackley referred to the long and conscientious service given to the department by Mr. Hadfield.
