The convicts were speeding in a stolen motor-car toward the famous Badlands Wilderness, where they hoped to find an asylum, when they were met by the posse A battle ensued in which one convict was killed, one sheriff mortally wounded and two other convicts wounded and captured The fourth convict escaped to the woods, whero he is virtually surrounded.
