<0 LAST WEEK'S CONDITIONS. EECORD SPELL OF SUNSHINE The weather in Auckland during last week was changeable, rain being experienced on several days. At the same time the record spell of sunshine for one day during the winter was enjoyed, there having been nine hours' sunshine on Friday. On Monday the barometer registered 29.72 in., with a temperature at 9 a.m. of 55. a maximum temperature in the shade of 59 and a minimum of 55. The baro meter showed a falling tendency on Tuesday, being 29.69, with a maximum temperature of 61 and a minimum 0f'48.5. On Wednesday, however, the barometer rose to 29.71 in., with a maximum in temperature of 59 and a minimum of 48. There was very little change on Thursday,; but on Friday the barometer registered 30.14, the maximum temperature in the shade being 58.5 and the minimum. 43. The baromenter registration on Saturday was the same as on ■ Friday, but the maximum temperature in the shade dropped I.sdeg. with no alteration in the minimum. The rainfall for the month of August np to 9 a.m. yesterday was 2.43 in. Fine weather was experienced afc Auckland f during the week-end. During yesterday the son shone brightly with snch warmth that the effect of the light southerly wind was oDly noticed during the night. The barometer has been usually steady.
