KINGSLAND OVERBRIDGE.
OVER 2000 SIGN PETITION. The movement in the Edendale district toward securing trams to that populous suburb is/ receiving considerable support. The petition in connection with the construction of tho Kingsiand overbridge. has already upward of 2000 signatures. As the general manager of railways, Mr. R. W. McVilly, has promised to shortly visit Auckland, to inspect the site of the proposed bridge, it is not intended to send the petition forward for a few days. Should Mr. McVilly's visit not take place during the week, the petition will be sent to tho Hon. C. J. Parr, member for the district, for presentation to Parliament.
