S. AUSTRALIAN RAILWAYS.
MANAGER FROM AMERICA. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 4.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Aug. 19. The State Department has announced that Mr. W. A. Webb, of Denver, Colorado, has been appointed manager of the State railways of South Australia;. Mr. Webb was formerly connected with the Santa Fe, Southern and Missouri, Kansas and Texas railways. He was also an officer of the United States Railway Administration.
