ONE TREE HILL ROAD BOARD.
\The One Tree Hill Boacl Board met last evening. Mr. K. G. Clark presided, and there were also present: Messrs. H. K. Clayton, C. Mcintosh, F. Chapman, J. Paterson, G-. Purchas, and T. Eowe. A letter was received with a petition from the Penrose Ratepayers' Association, requesting the Gas Company to supply gas to the district. It waa decided to send the petition and a letter to the company, asking that it supply the gas where needed. It was reported that a great deal of damage had been dono to the newly-formed footpath on the Great South Road, between Walls and Green Park Roads, by motorists driving along it. It was decided to instruct the ranger to watch the path and secure the numbers of cars so •offending. A petition from ratepayers "of Aratonga Avenue and Waniti Avenue, asked that the chairman i present to the Power Board their grievances with regard to the electric lighting of these streets, which had been promised two and a-halt yeaxs ago. Nothing had yet been done in the matter, and all the signatories had expressed their willingness to pay their Bhare of the cost. The chairman, said he would ac* in the matter. It was reported aeyeuwem building permits were issued in July, of a total value of 1 over £6000. 1
