LONDON WOOL SALES.
SPIRITED COMPETITION. A. and N.Z. LONDON, July 31. At to-day's wool sale there was excellent competition, and a large attendance of buyers, drawn by the fear that present holdings will not be sufficient till the next sales in September. Merinos were distinctly harder than last week, and crossbreds were very firm, with an improved demand. New Zealand, Glenthorne clip, realised 3s top price, 3s 3d average. The Bradford market is very firm, with a good tone, but business is quiet.
