LARGE BUTTER YIELD.
OPENING OF NEW SEASON. JULY TOTAL OF 11,885 BOXES. FOURFOLD LAST YEAR'S VOLUME. The new dairying year in the Auckland province has opened auspiciously, over four times as much butter being produced last month as in July, 1921. This is attributed in large measure to the favourable weather conditions experienced. Last month 11,885 boxes of butter were received at the grading stores, and the number for the corresponding month in 1921 was 2797. The cheese received amounted to 201 crates, compared with 121 crates in July, 1921. During the month 1975 boxes of butter and 7486 crates of cheese were exported from Auckland, and the dairy produce now in store comprises 26,646 boxes of butter and 8490 crates of cheese. It is expected that the Athenie will lift 30.000 boxes of butter on August 14, and there is every prospect of the vessel taking all the butter available. The Wangaratta will load 10,500 crate® of cheese on August 21.
