RESUMPTION IMMINENT.

The; Shanghai correspondent of the United Press of America states that a resumption of hostilities between Chang Tso Lin and Wu Pei Fu on a largo scale appears iminiment. Chang Tso Lin succeeded in defeating rebel forces in Manchuria, who were guarding the Chinese Eastern Railway. In the meantime Wu Pei Fu's forces are attempting to encircle Chang's army and hope to control the situation in Manchuria before tho Japanese consider it necessaty to take steps to safeguard foreign interests.
