ANOTHER PLAGUE VICTIM.
DEATH AT THE HOSPITAL. Australian and N-Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.6 p.m.) SYDNEY, Ma- 12. There has been another death from plague at tho hospital. MELBOURNE, Ma? 12. From tho condition of the body of a dead rat found at Dimboola, in Victoria, it is suspected that the rodent was infected with plague. No infected rats have previously been found across the "Murray. The Labour Council has decided to advise all unionists to keep their children from schools during the period of saluting the flag and singing of the National Anthem. NEW GUNARD STEAMERS. SYDNEY, May 12. Two Port steamers were launched in England during March for the Cunard Line. It is proposed to increase the services from London and New York to Australia to regular fortnightly sailings. MR. HUGHES AND BENDIGO. MELBOURNE, May 12. It is stated that Mr. Hughes lias offioial'y informed tho National Government supporters at Bendigo that he will again contest Bendigo seat at the noit election.
