REPLY TO LORD MAYOR.
FAILURE TO FIND WORK. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association (Uecd. 7.15 n.m.) SYDNEY. May 12. Referring to the Lord Mayor's action in clearing the streets of soldiers' bands, the president of the Limbless Soldiers' Association writes stating that most, of these men honestly endeavoured to get work of an ordinary character, but failed. Because of their non-sucoess they are now acting as collectors for the soldiers' band*.
