UNION INTERFERENCE.
TROUBLES OF SEAMEN. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. May 12. Tho Seamen"s Union ordered a boatswain who was alleged to have been Bpeeding up the crew of the Zealandia. not to sign on for the return trip to the west. Tho boatswain defied tho union, and tho Huddart-Parker Company insisted on selecting their own crow, and succeeded without demur. It is understood that the union has now withdrawn tho demands it mado respecting the Maheno, which is still id'o. It is suggested that much trouble is caused for men at sea by those on shore.
