INDIAN FORCE AMBUSHED.
ATTACK BY WAZIRIS.
TWENTY-TWO LIVES LOST. A. and N.Z. DELHI. May 11.
Reports from Waziristan state that a platoon of Grenadiers patrolling near the west of Saidgi, in the Tochi Valley, was surprised by 100 tribesmen. An Indian officer and 21 Indians of other ranks were killed, and a quantity of small arms ammunition was lost. The enemy's losses were negligible.
