AMERICAN WORKERS' MOVE.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 8.50 p.m.) NEW YORK. May It. The Chicago correspondent of the New York Times says that President Hillman, of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers' Union of America, has announced tho formation of a company to operate textile factories and clothing shops in Russia, A sum of 60,000 dollars has already been appropriated. The company will be capitalised at 1.000,000 by the American union.
During a recent visit by Hillman to Russia, Lenin offered a concession to the President, who inspected Russian shops and factories able to employ 6000 operatives, and worth 10,000,000 gold roubles, all in good working condition. The company will co-operate, furnishin»; a technical staff of tested industrial executives, and tho capital.
