THE BUTTER POOL.

Sir,—l am a strong believer in pooling cur dairy produce, but I fail to sco tho strength of some of the remarks made by Mr. Groodfe'low at Palmerston North. Ho questioned the wisdom of trying to educate the British consumer into purchasing his butter in pound pats and, said it would bo better to continue to export bulk butter. Now the Danes are putting their butter on the British market in pound pats under strict supervision, and why not us, oven though wo should have to havfe depots in London or Manchester to do so. We should then be assured that our butter was being sold under its true name, and not. being juggled with. A Daiky Farmer.
