MISS ROSINA BUCKMAN.
The box plans will open on Monday morning, at nine o'clock, at Lewis R. Eady and Sons, Ltd., for Miss Rnsina Buekman's concerts in the Town Hall on Saturday, May 2C, Tuesday, the 23rd, Thursday, the 25th, and the 27th, under the direction of Mr. E. J. Gravestock. Misa Buckman left London lata month on a world's tour in company with her husband, Mr. Maurice D Oisly. the distinguished English tenor, and their farewell appearance in England was marked by a remarkable demonstration in the Royal Albert Hal), when an a.udicnco of 10,000 people gathered to hear her sing. Tho famous singers are due to arrive tomorrow in Wellington by the lonic, and after a civic reception will proceed to Auckland, arriving on Wednesday. In the evening they will be welcomed by the Auckland Society of Musicians and prominent citizens at the Ladies' Club. Miss Buckman has attained a remarkable position in England, and now ranks with tho foremost singers of the day. Her triumphs have not been confined to grand opera, but have been equally great on tho concert platform. Mr. D'Oisly is a tenor of considerable reputation, his work in grand opera and on the concert, platform placing him in the foremost rank. In addition to tho two singers, Miss Adelina Leon, the talented English 'cellist, who is making her first appearance in New Zealand a't these concerts, will contribute 'cello solos.
