YOUNG CITIZENS' LEAGUE.

EXTENSION OF ACTIVITIES.

A meeting convened by the Mayor, Mr. J. H. Gunson, feu- the purpose of plowing before citizens the aims and objects of the Young Citizens' League, is to bo held in the Town Hall concert chamber on Monday evening. The speakers will include Nlr. E, <?. Cutten, S.M., president, Mr. E. C. Purdie, Dr. V. E. Maguire, and the Rev. A. B. Chappell. Dunne the three and a-half years that the leaguo has been in existence in Auckland a great deal has been accomplished in the direction of stimulating and arousing a deeper interest in all matters affecting the well-being ai our future citizens throughout the Dominion. In ehristehurch over 2300 young people in the higher standards of the schools have voluntarily enrolled and have been admitted as members. The Auckland League has within the last few days received requests for information to enable those interested to form branches in Napier, Pjcton." Wakefield (Nelson), Carnarvon, Rongatea. Whangarei, Whakatnne, Te Puke, New Lynn. Vauxhall, and Te Papa. A letter hns been received by the town clerk, asking that full information be sent to an inquirer interested in social welfare work in Melbourne.
