JUDGMENT BY CONSENT.
WORKMAN KILLED BY FAJLL. Judgment for tho plaintiff by consent -was entered in tho claim for £750 brought bv Josephine Helena May Andrews (Mr. Sellar), widow, against J. T. Julian and Son, builders (Mr." Osburno Lilly). Tho statement of claim set out that tho plaintiff was the widow of the late Charles Burness Andrews, who was ki'led on March 21 at New Ply-mouth while working for defendants on a building. While crossing a verandah by means of planking ho lost his balance "and fell through a fibrous plaster ceiling, fracturing his skulL Ho had been employed by defendants for 15 months previous to the accident, and his average weekly earnings for the year preceding his death were £5 os 9d. He left three children, two of vrhem were totally dependent on him, as also was his widow. Judgment was given tor £740, defendants having paid £10 into Court, and also for £5 5s costs and £18 5s 6d funeral expenses.
