SEASON'S FINAL FIXTURE.
OFFERING OF 3000 BALES.
TOTAL FOR SEASON OF 34,026
The final Auckland wool sale for the 1921-1922 season will be held in the Town Hall concert chamber on Tuesday morning, when a catalogue of approximately 3000 bales will be offered. This total does not comprise all the surplus wool hold in tho Auckland province, there being still a fair quantity held in tho country districts, some of which could not be sent forward in time for tho sale, owing to tho bad state of the roads in different localities. A full bench of buyors is expected. Tho number of bale* to bo offered by each of tho wool-broking firms and the order in which they will bo submitted, are as follows: — Bales. Tho number of bales offered at auction in Auckland from December to March totalled 31,050, and no fewer than 26 071 wore disposed of under the hammer. Most of tho wool grown in the Auckland province is crossbred. Th« number of crossbred sheep held here in October, 1921, according to the Journal of AgricuHuro. was 1,644,907, compared with 222,175 Romncys, 13,298 Lincoln*, 1644 Merinos, 1636 Border Leicesters, 2081 English Leicesters. 1300 Shropshires. 671 Southdowns, 781 Comedalee, and 380 other breeds, tho total of distinctive breeds, not entered in the flock book, being thus 243,966. There .were, in addition, 13,074 sheep entered in the flock book, including 10,302 Romneys, 1330 Lincolns, 384 Border Leicesters, 507 Entrlisb Leicesters, 90 Shropshires, 304 Southdowns, and 157 other breeds.
