GIANT LINER ON TYNE.
PILOT'S DIFFICULT TASK. LONDON. May 2. The former German steamship Imperator, now the Cunarder Bercngaria, the world's second largest liner, was dry-:iocked at Southampton preparatory to" entering upon the trans-Atlantic service. At the Tynesido she was fitted with oil burning engines. The noted Tynesido pilot, John Burn, - erformed tho feat of turning this-910ft. shin in the river, which is only 960 ft. wide.
