GIRL PEACE SCOUTS.

FUNCTION AT HAMILTON. LADY JELLICOE ATTENDS. ■ [h? TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORBESPONDENT.] | HAMILTON. Friday. I Her Excellency, Lady Jellicoe, attended ' s concert in the Theatre Royal to-night and presented badges to the St. Paul's Girl Peace Scouts. There was a largo attendance. The stage was occupied by the girl scouts, and was tastefully decorated with flagß, while boy scouts filled the front seats of the theatre. The Mayor, Mr. J. R. Fow, and Mrs. E. 0. Blamircs, the commissioner, formally ■welcomed Her Excellency, who was then presented with a handsome bouquet by a girl scout. Lady Jellicoe expressed much pleasure at being present, and congratulated the girls on the good work they had done. The girls then gave a stirring scout haka. After presenting Mrs. j Blamires with her commission, Lady Jell licoe presented badges to a number of i girls, the ceremony concluding with hearty cheers for Her Excellency. Scoutmaster Noel Carless was presented with a long-service medal. During the evening, an excellent concert programme, arranged by Mrs. H. C. Ross, was given by various artists and the Hamilton Municipal Band.
