CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS MATCHES.
The Auckland bowling champion of champions matches are to be played on tho Carlton Club's green on Saturday, play commencing at 8.45 a.m. The players taking part are is follows:J W L'arker (Coronandel), A. Koatley (Rocky Nook), C. A. Mahor (West End). Captain Gordon (Ellenlie). 8. McKenric (Hikurangi), F. E.. Harper (Otahuhu). J. Donaldson (Whangarei), A. J. Parker (Stanley Bay), D. Dunlop (Dominion Road), J. A. Mantel! (Grey Lynn), H. P. Andrew (Papatootoe). R. McLaren (Ponsonby), W. Inrino (Rawhiti). A. W. Blanchard (Carlton). D. Grattan (Epsom), H. Wright (St. Heliers), J. Toplisa (Mount Albert). ..... , The competition is to be conducted on the two-life system, il&ssra. J. Snedden and A Coltman are the officials who will have chime of the competition. The number of entries is the largest sin» the inauguration of the competition. Entries for the Easter tournament close on April 3, at the office of the secretary, Mr. A. M. Bryden. It has been decided that section play will occupy three days. The inter-club Pennant companion, which was cancelled on December 10, on account of unfavourable weather cond'tions, will be played on March 25. The position of clubs to date is as follows:—Section A: Carlton, 66 3-3 per cent, of wins; Mount Eden, 66 2-3; Dominion Road, 52 1-3; Rockv N"ok. 48; Grev Lynn, 50: Re-nuera, 43; St. Heliers, 41; Edendale. 33: Stanley, 25; Waitemata. 16. Section B: West End. 6fi 2-3 per cent, of wins; Ponsonby, 58; Mount Albert. 58; E'leralie. 68: Riwhiti. 60; Avondale. 50: Otahuhu. 60; Papataetoe: 60; Onchunga, 41; Epsom, 41; Auckland, 831-3; Mount Wellington, IC.
