TEMPERANCE UNION.
—— — At the last meeting of tbs Auckland I branch of the Women's Christian Temper-1 ance Union, Mrs. Neal, the newly elected , president, presiding, Mrs. Lee Cowio gave an address. A resolution from the National Council of Women, advocating a State Children's Council, consisting of an equal number of men and women for tho care of children dependent on the State, was heartily supported. The following delegates were appointed to represent the union at the Dominion convention at Hamilton:—Mesdames Cook, Fulljames, Williams, and Qoldie.
