SCULLING MATCHES.
PADDON IN TRAINING. WORK NOT IMPRESSIVE. [bt telegraph—own correspondent.] WANGANUI, Sunday. Paddon has commenced light training, and was out for a short row this morning with two of his pactrs. The Australian oarsman was not at all impressive, and cannot be clawed with Hadfield for polish and finished sculling. He appears to indulge in too much arm work, and his arms and legs do not work in rhythm. Ho uses his long legs and ihen finishes with his arms in very jerky fashion. . Nevertheless, he can shoot his boat along in good stylo, although it is not the kind of stroke that is usually associated with long distance sculling. His morning's work was done at the town end of tho river. THE DOMINION TITLR. HANNAN TO RACE FOGWELL [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRE 33 ASSOCIATION.] BIJSNHEIM. Saturday.
