UNIVERSITY TOURNAMENT! The New Zealand University Athletio Championships are to be held at the Auckland Domain on Easter Tuesday, April 18. In addition to the championships the following open events will be decided: —120yos, 440 yds and 880ydfl. The representatives from Victoria College (Wellington) make a strong team which will take a lot of beating. L. A. Tracey is tho present champion over 100 yds, 220 yds, and 440 yds. and holder of tho 220 yds record. H. G. Whitehead last year dead-heated with Perry in the 220 yds in 235. K. 11. Griffin was second last year in the mile and will also run in the halfmile this year. H. McCormick was second last year in .the three mile. and. will again bo a competitor. *B. E. Moore is the New Zealand and Wellington pion, and ho was second to R.M. Webber in the three miles New Zealand championship. A. Jackson is tho present champion over 120 yds and 440 yds hurdles and holder of the record in. the latter He was run-ner-up last year in the broad jump. G. G. Aitken is a former champ.ion over the 440 yds hurdles, and. B. Egley is a former broad jump champion. MAMAKU SPORTS. The Mamaku Sporte Club, will hold its annual meeting at the Mamaku Domain on Friday March 17. An excellent programme of chopping, sawing and running events has been prepared.
