EXPORTS FROM THE PORT. [by telegraph-own correspondent.] TAURANGA. Friday. The exports shipped from the port of Tauranga last month included 5216 boxes of butter, 69 tons of fibre, 82,490 ft. of timber, 51 tons of wool and 1090 sacks of maize. • ~ , The Borough Council is considering a proposal to approach the ratepayers with a view to raising a loan for the improvement of various roads and footpaths throughout the borough. Sir William Hemes has advised that ho will visit Tauranga on Wednesday and Thursday next. While here he will attend a meeting of the Harbour Board in connection with the erection of a railway wharf at Tauranga.
